Department of Youth Ministry of the Serbian Orthodox New Gracanica Midwestern Diocese Announces Annual College Students Retreat
Grace Lake, IL – The Department of Youth Ministry of the Serbian Orthodox New Gracanica Midwestern Diocese is pleased to announce the Annual College Students Retreat from November 24 to 26, 2023.
The Nativity of the Theotokos Serbian Orthodox Women’s Monastery will host this spiritual gathering, located at 32787 Early Rd, New Carlisle, IN 46552.
Under the theme “Encountering Christ and Each Other,” this retreat promises to be a transformative experience for college students from the greater Chicago area. Participants will have the unique opportunity to delve into various aspects of their Orthodox faith, foster fellowship, and engage in activities such as learning the art of making prosphora bread, communal prayers, and lending a helping hand at the Monastery’s animal farm.
This event offers a chance to escape from the bustling pace of daily life and immerse oneself in the peaceful and picturesque surroundings of the Nativity of the Theotokos Serbian Orthodox Women’s Monastery. Participants will find solace and inspiration in the natural beauty that envelops the Monastery.
Please be advised that this is an overnight retreat. The Monastery will provide all meals and accommodations. The registration fee for this spiritually enriching experience is $40 per day or a discounted rate of $120.00 for all three days.
